Lester Po Fun Lee was born in Hong Kong in 1963. He studied in England, first at the Manchester Polytechnic and later at the Bournemouth and Poole School of Art and Design where he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Visual Communication. He has worked extensively as a professional photographer, initially in Spain and more recently back in Hong Kong. He has had eight solo exhibitions of his work including “Lester Lee Solo Exhibition” (Capital Gallery, Taiwan, 1995), and “Lester Lee Solo Exhibition” (Jazz Gallery, Taiwan, 1994). He has also exhibited in numerous group exhibitions including “Body Aesthetic under the British Influence”, (Chongqing Art Museum, China, 2006), “Nude Quartet” (Gallery Martini, Hong Kong, 1997) and “The Edge of Photography” (Milan, Italy, 1993). He has been the recipient of numerous awards including British Design and Art Direction Award (2001). Cannes Lion Award (2001), the Hong Kong Institute of Professional, Photographers Grand Award (2001) and one of most twenty most outstanding photographers in Europe for the Kodak European Panorama (1993)
