Almond Chu Tak Wah was born in Hong Kong in 1962 and educated in Hong Kong and Japan. He graduated from the Fine Art Photography Department, Tokyo College of Photography in 1986. He has had ten solo exhibitions including “Wet Wet Kids – Cosplay Generation” (Shanghai Street Artspace, Hong Kong, 2006), “Wet Wet Kids – Cosplay Generation” (Hong Kong College of Technology, Hong Kong, 2006), “Fetish Stories” (Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong, 2004), “Passionate Moment” (Taikoo Place, Hong Kong, 2003), “Body Work” (Fluid Living, Toronto, Canada, 2002), and “Nudes and Flowers” (Fotogalerie Central and Montblanc Gallery at the Fringe Club, Hong Kong, 2001). He has participated in over thirty group exhibitions including “Lianzhou International Photo Festival” (Lianzhou, Guangzhou, China, 2006), “China International Photographic Art Festival” (Beijing, China, 2006), “Hong Kong Four-Cast” (Guangdong Museum of Art, Guangzhou, China, 2006), “megARTstore” (Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong, 2006), “Hong Kong Art Biennial” (Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 2005) and “Building Hong Kong Red White Blue” (Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong, 2004). His work has been widely published including Fetish (Germany), Nudes (Germany), Polaroid International Photography (England), Nudes Index I & II (Germany), Ecce Homo (Spain), Photographers International (Taiwan), Graphis Nudes 3 (USA/Switzerland), Paroles (Hong Kong), and Asian Art News (Hong Kong).
